Strawberry Banana Smoothie is a healthy, nutritious and filling summer cooler made with fresh strawberries and bananas. It is the perfect recipe to beat the heat during this Navratri festival.

Delicious as it sounds, this smoothie is packed with vitamins and protein. Strawberry is an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese. They are also rich in antioxidants. On the other hand, bananas are a healthy source of fibre, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C and antioxidants. Milk and yoghurt are an excellent source of high-quality protein. Yoghurt contains probiotic bacteria that help in improving digestive health. So this 5-ingredient smoothie is the ideal recipe for a mid-day booster of energy during fasting/vrat. Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cup fresh strawberry, chopped
  • ½ cup banana, chopped
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar (as you prefer)
  • 2 tbsp chopped almonds, for garnishing
  • Strawberry slices, for garnishing

Cooking Directions:

Pour milk, yoghurt, banana and honey in a blender jar. Blend until smooth. Take out 1-2 tbsp of the mixture and keep aside for garnishing.

After that, add the chopped strawberries and blend again.

Step 2

Place the moist strawberry slices in the glass and keep it in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Pour the smoothie into the serving glasses, drizzle with yoghurt-banana mix and sprinkle chopped almonds. Strawberry Banana Smoothie is ready. Serve chilled.

Garnish with almonds and serve.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup fresh strawberry chopped
  • ½ cup banana chopped
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar as you prefer
  • 2 tbsp chopped almonds for garnishing
  • Strawberry slices for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Pour milk, yoghurt, banana and honey in a blender jar. Blend until smooth. Take out 1-2 tbsp of the mixture and keep aside for garnishing.
  • Add the chopped strawberries and blend again.
  • Place the moist strawberry slices in the glass and keep it in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  • Pour the smoothie into the serving glasses, drizzle with yoghurt-banana mix and sprinkle chopped almonds. Serve chilled.

Notes

Make sure the strawberry slices are moist before placing them in the glasses. Otherwise, they won’t stick.
