Learn how to make this simple strawberry oats bars recipe with just a few ingredients. These baked oatmeal bars are so easy to make. Just add a layer of oats crumble in a baking pan, then add a layer of strawberry jam. Sprinkle oats crumble over the top of the jam. Bake until golden!

These oats bars can be a great snack or you can even have them for breakfast. You can easily store them in an airtight container, in the refrigerator for up to 5-6 days.

What kind of oats to use?

For this recipe, I have used Bagrry’s white oats. You can also use Quaker or Saffola oats. Just make sure they are quick-cooking oats.

Jam Substitute:

If you don’t like strawberry jam, then you can substitute it with any other jam of your choice. You can also use peanut butter, chocolate, Nutella etc.

About The Oven:

Every oven is different. For this recipe, I have used 24-litre OTG (1500 Watt). If you are using a different oven then the cooking time will change depending upon the wattage.

Prep Time: 10 min | Bake Time: 30 min | Total Time: 40 min

Cooling Time: 1 hr 10 min

Serves: 4 people (12 oats bars)

Ingredients:

1.5 cup oats

1.5 cup all-purpose flour

½ cup brown sugar

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

½ cup + 2-3 tbsp butter, melted

1 cup strawberry jam

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180-degree Celsius. Line an 8×6 inches baking tin with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, add oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix well.

Then pour ½ cup melted butter and give it a good mix. Make sure the butter is combined well with the dry mixture.

Optional: If the oats mixture looks dry, as in this case, pour 2-3 tablespoons melted butter. And mix again.

Add ⅔ of the oats mixture into the lined baking tin. Keep the remaining mixture aside for later use.

With the help of a spatula or spoon, spread the mixture in the tin.

Then with the back of the spoon or spatula press the mixture down to make a solid crust.

Pour strawberry jam over the oats base. Spread it out.

Add the remaining oats mixture over the jam. Make sure it is evenly distributed.

Place the tin in the preheated oven. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until the oats become slightly golden.

Then take the tin out of the oven. Allow it to cool down at room temperature for around 40-45 minutes.

Once it has cooled down, place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Note: Don’t cut it while it’s still hot. As it can be a little messy and the bars might break.

After that, take the tin out of the refrigerator. Carefully lift the oats bar out of the tin with the help of the parchment paper.

Place it over a chopping board and cut it into squares.
