Creamy Masala White Sauce Pasta

A super creamy, cheesy, easy vegetarian Indian-style masala pasta recipe!

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup 200g approx. farfalle pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp garlic minced
  • 4 tsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp pav bhaji masala
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cubes or 50g of processed cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly crushed black pepper as per taste

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil over a high flame.
  2. After it starts boiling, add salt and pasta. Give it a mix.
  3. Cook the pasta until al dente. It may take 8-10 minutes depending upon the pasta you are using. Some brands’ pasta may require more time than others.
  4. So after around 6-7 minutes, take out a single piece of pasta in a bowl. Then check its doneness.
  5. Drain the pasta and keep it aside.
  6. Heat a non-stick pan over a medium flame. Add butter and allow it to melt.
  7. Add minced garlic. Cook until the garlic is fragrant and make sure its colour doesn’t change.
  8. Then add all-purpose flour. Give it a good mix. Cook until fragrant. It may take 1-2 minutes.
  9. Add pav bhaji masala and mix well.
  10. After that pour milk into the pan, a little at a time while mixing continuously.
  11. Keep mixing until the sauce is thick and smooth.
  12. Add salt and processed cheese. Mix well.
  13. Once the cheese melts completely, bring the sauce to a simmer and cook it for a couple of minutes.
  14. Add the cooked pasta and toss well until the pasta is coated with the sauce.
  15. Transfer it to the serving plate. Sprinkle freshly crushed black pepper over the top. Serve hot!
