How To Boil Potatoes In Microwave
Learn how to boil potatoes in a microwave. You can use these potatoes to make any sabji/subzi, mashed potatoes, potato-based snacks etc.
Ingredients
- 4-5 medium-sized potatoes
- 2-3 tbsp water
Other items:
- Microwave
- 1 microwave-safe bowl with lid
- Cling wrap optional
Instructions
- Rinse the potatoes. Peel and chop them. Make sure they are all of the same sizes. This will ensure even cooking.
- Add them to the microwave-safe bowl. Pour water. Cover with a lid. Make sure the lid has an opening so that the steam can escape.
- If you don’t have a lid, then cover the bowl with a cling/plastic wrap. Poke the plastic with a fork or knife and make a few holes. This will help the steam to escape and prevent it from exploding.
- Microwave on high for 7-8 minutes. Stir 1-2 times while microwaving.
- Take the bowl out and check if the potatoes are fully cooked. If not, microwave for a few more seconds.
- Perfectly cooked potatoes are ready!
