Rinse the potatoes. Peel and chop them. Make sure they are all of the same sizes. This will ensure even cooking.
Add them to the microwave-safe bowl. Pour water. Cover with a lid. Make sure the lid has an opening so that the steam can escape.
If you don’t have a lid, then cover the bowl with a cling/plastic wrap. Poke the plastic with a fork or knife and make a few holes. This will help the steam to escape and prevent it from exploding.
Microwave on high for 7-8 minutes. Stir 1-2 times while microwaving.
Take the bowl out and check if the potatoes are fully cooked. If not, microwave for a few more seconds.
Perfectly cooked potatoes are ready!
