How to Cook Brown Rice Perfectly

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup brown rice I have used Dawat brown rice
  • 4 cups water

Instructions
 

  • Wash and rinse the brown rice. Then soak it in 1 cup water for 15 minutes.
  • Add 3 cups water in a pot and heat it over a high flame. As soon as it comes to a boil, add the rice and give it a gentle stir. Once it comes to a rolling boil, lower the flame to medium and allow it to simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Check the rice by pressing a grain with your fingers. If it’s fully cooked, drain the rice with the help of a colander. Allow it to sit in the colander for 5 minutes and then serve.
  • Serve this fluffy and non-sticky brown rice with your favourite curry.
