Easy French Toast

This quick and easy french toast recipe makes a delicious weekend brunch. It uses only a few simple ingredients which can be easily found in your pantry.

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Honey for serving


  • In a shallow baking dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla essence, sugar and salt.
  • Dip bread slices into the egg mixture. Sock both the sides well.
  • Heat 1/2 tbsp butter and 1/2 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Fry the bread slices until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  • Drizzle honey and serve the warm french toasts.
