easy french toast

These fluffy french toasts are the best breakfast dish ever! Thick slices of bread dipped in a rich and flavourful egg mixture. Then fried until they become golden in colour. Drizzle honey over the top and serve them right away. It’s that simple. Enjoy this decadent toast with a glass of milk or a cup of hot coffee.

To make these toasts, you can use any kind of bread. White, brown, oats etc. But the most important thing is that the bread should be stale or a few days old. If you use fresh bread slices for this recipe, then the toast may break while flipping on the pan or may crumble while dipping into the egg mixture. Here I have used white bread slices.

For the egg mixture, you will need, four large-sized eggs, a cup of full fat or whole milk, vanilla essence, sugar and salt. Here whole milk helps in making a rich custardy mixture. Then just dunk bread slices into the egg mixture. Fry the slices with a good amount of butter and oil, until golden brown. I have used equal parts of butter and oil for this recipe, it basically prevents the butter from burning. So this weekend, make this simple yet delicious dish and enjoy it with your family.
