Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup poha
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Pinch of hing
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp chopped coriander stalk/stem
  • 1 green chilli chopped
  • 6-8 cashews
  • ½ cup green peas/matar I have used frozen
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Rinse poha with water.
  • Add milk. Gently give it a mix.
  • Let it soak for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and hing.
  • Cook until the cumin seeds splutter.
  • Add ginger, coriander stalk, green chilli and cashews.
  • Cook until the cashews are golden.
  • Add matar and mix well.
  • Add sugar, garam masala powder, black pepper powder and salt. Mix well.
  • Add the soaked poha.
  • Give it a mix but be very gentle.
  • Matar poha is ready to serve!
