Prep Time: 2 min | Cook Time: 5 min | Total Time: 7 min

Serves: 1-2 people

Ingredients:

1 cup poha

¼ cup milk

1 tbsp oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

Pinch of hing

1 tbsp chopped ginger

1 tsp chopped coriander stalk/stem

1 green chilli, chopped

6-8 cashews

½ cup green peas/matar, I have used frozen

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp garam masala powder

¼ tsp black pepper powder

Salt to taste

Method:

Rinse poha with water.

Add milk. Gently give it a mix.

Let it soak for 10 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and hing.

Cook until the cumin seeds splutter.

Add ginger, coriander stalk, green chilli and cashews.

Cook until the cashews are golden.

Add matar and mix well.

Add sugar, garam masala powder, black pepper powder and salt. Mix well.

Add the soaked poha.

Give it a mix but be very gentle.

Matar poha is ready to serve!
