Garlic Kulcha Recipe

Learn how to make buttery garlic kulcha without yeast at home.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup curd
  • 2 tsp oil
  • Water if required (to knead the dough)
  • Chopped garlic
  • Chopped coriander leaves

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, add all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add curd/yoghurt and oil. Knead well to make a soft and smooth dough.
  3. Apply oil over the top of the dough.
  4. Cover and let it rest for 30 min.
  5. After that knead for 7-8 min. Rest for 10 min.
  6. Preheat oven to 250 degree Celsius.
  7. Divide the dough into 5 portions.
  8. Take one dough ball, add garlic and coriander leaves on top.
  9. Press it down and roll it out
  10. Place the kulchas on the baking tray.
  11. Bake at 250C for 10-15 min or until golden and crisp.
  12. Take them out and apply butter over the hot kulchas.
  13. Serve hot!
