Ingredients
Method
- In a bowl, add hot water and dried rose petals. Give a good stir.
- Allow the rose petals to rest in the water for a few minutes until the water cools down completely.
- Then refrigerate it for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- After that, strain the water into a saucepan.
- Heat it over a medium flame/temperature.
- Add sugar. Keep stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Once it comes to a boil, lower the flame/temperature.
- Let it simmer for 8-10 minutes or until it thickens slightly.
- Turn the heat off. Add rose essence. Mix well.
- Allow the rose syrup to cool down completely. The syrup will thicken as it cools down.
- Rose syrup is ready to use!
Notes
You can store the rose syrup in a glass jar/bottle and refrigerate it for at least 2 months.
