In a medium saucepan, pour milk and add the cinnamon stick. Heat the milk over a medium flame.
Bring to a light boil and reduce the flame to medium-low. Then add sugar, cocoa powder and a pinch of salt.
Whisk to combine. Then lift the cinnamon stick out of the milk and discard it.
In a small bowl, mix cornflour with 2 tbsp milk. Then pour the cornflour slurry into the saucepan. Give it a nice mix.
As soon as it starts to thicken, turn the flame off.
Allow it to cool a bit before serving.
Serve this hot chocolate with your favourite cookies.
