Method
To make masala chai:
- Add green cardamoms, peppercorns, cinnamon stick, cloves, ginger and fennel seeds into a mortar and pestle. Coarsely grind them.
- Heat water in a saucepan over a high flame. Bring it to a boil and then add the crushed spices. Boil for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Pour milk and sugar. Stir it well and continue to boil for 1 to 2 minutes. Turn the heat off.
- Place a strainer over the teacup and pour the masala chai into it. Serve hot!
To make bun maska:
- Cut the buns in half. Heat a non-stick pan over low heat. Toast them for a few minutes. Then apply a generous coat of butter on both the slices of the bun. Serve with masala chai and enjoy.
