- In a mortar and pestle, combine ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Crush the spices until well combined.
- Boil 2 cups of water in a kettle.
- Add the crushed spices and sugar to the boiling water. Boil for a few minutes, until fragrant.
- Add the tea leaves and boil for an additional 2 minutes, or until the tea turns reddish-brown.
- Remove from heat and squeeze in lemon juice.
- Pour the Sulaimani tea into cups and garnish with mint leaves.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
