Method
To make the nuts and seeds mixture:
- Heat a wok over medium flame.
- Pour 1-2 tbsp ghee. Allow it to heat up.
- Add makhana and cook until crispy. Transfer to a plate.
- Again pour 1-2 tbsp ghee in the wok.
- Add the nuts. Cook until fragrant and slightly golden. Transfer it to a plate.
- Add seeds. Cook until fragrant and slightly golden. Transfer it to a plate.
- Let the mixture cool down, then grind to a coarse powder.
To make the sattu and jaggery mixture:
- Heat ghee in the same wok.
- Add sattu and coconut. Cook until fragrant.
- Add jaggery and mix well.
- Pour in water. Cook, stirring constantly, until the jaggery dissolves and the mixture reaches a dough-like consistency, binding everything together seamlessly.
- Turn the flame off. Let the mixture cool down a little.
To make the winter special laddu:
- Combine the nuts and seeds powder with the warm sattu and jaggery mixture.
- Add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Shape the mixture into laddus.
- Serve and enjoy!
