Method
- Add ginger, cinnamon stick, green cardamoms, cloves, and peppercorns into a mortar and pestle. Coarsely grind them.
- Heat water in a saucepan over a high flame. Add tea leaves, crushed spices and kesar. Boil for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Pour sugar and milk. Stir it well and continue to boil for 1 to 2 minutes. Turn the heat off.
- Strain the chai. Then pour it into kulhads/tea cups. Garnish with kesar.
- Kesar masala chai is ready to serve!
