Learn how to make this quick and easy tricolour paneer sandwich recipe. These low-calorie sandwiches are made with chhena/paneer and a bunch of other simple ingredients. They are an excellent patriotic treat for Independence Day. So try this recipe today!

Ingredients:

8 white bread slices

For the orange-coloured chhena/paneer spread:

½ cup chhena/paneer

1 tbsp schezwan sauce

1-2 tbsp water, optional

For the white-coloured chhena/paneer spread:

½ cup chhena/paneer

1.5 tbsp mayonnaise

1-2 tbsp water, optional

Salt to taste

For the green-coloured chhena/paneer spread:

½ cup chhena/paneer

1 cup coriander leaves

½ cup mint leaves

2 green chillies

4 cloves of garlic

1.5 tsp chaat masala powder

Salt to taste

1-2 tbsp water, optional

Other requirements:

Toothpicks

Cookie cutter

Method:

Orange or Schezwan Spread:

Add chhena and schezwan sauce into a mixer jar. Blend until smooth. If the paste looks dry, pour a little water into the jar and blend again.

White Or Mayo Spread:

Add chhena and mayonnaise into a mixer jar. Blend until smooth. If the paste looks dry, pour a little water into the jar and blend again.

Green Or Chutney Spread:

Add coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, garlic, chhena, chaat masala powder and salt into a mixer jar. Blend until smooth. If the paste looks dry, pour a little water into the jar and blend again.

To make the tricolour paneer sandwiches:

Place a slice of white bread on a chopping board. Cut the slices of bread into circles using a cookie cutter.

Apply green spread over one side of the bread. Place another piece of bread over it.

Then apply white spread. Add another piece of bread over it. 

After that apply the orange spread over the bread. Top it with another piece of bread.

Insert a toothpick vertically, at the centre of the sandwich. Make the rest of the sandwiches in the same manner.

Enjoy these paneer sandwiches with a cup of tea.

Tip:

Make Breadcrumbs With The Scraps – Tear the remaining bread into small pieces. Add them to a mixer or food processor. Pulse until you get fine breadcrumbs.
